I know exactly what you mean. this pisses my off too. Fender Japan has always put the incorrect black & gold "1971" decal on matching headstock reissues. it bugs me no end it looks so retarded. There must be a specific reason they do this, or they choose to do it. They definately apply the correct white Fender Mustang competition decal on the Spiderman and Beck reissues - they have the decals available, they just don''t do it on all the models for some reason.

To be fair, I'd rather old threads be dug up and the conversation continued rather than having new threads discussing the same thing.
