Neck pocket repairs

Post by Jahsoul »

Allo, just bought a telemaster body that I'm gonna put a duo-sonic neck on. According to the previous owner he had it made by some guy and the neck pocket holes are crooked. What are the solutions?

Wood dowel and titebond, then redrill holes on a drill press if at all possible.

Here's how it looks when they're crooked (rps-10's Squier Bronco Bass pictured).

I wouldn't do the toothpick thing for neck attachment holes dude, little stripped pickguard screwholes maybe... too much riding on the neck joint. Get some putty you can pack really tight in there.

wow, now thats really bad...that means you ´ll have to fill the neck holes, too.
After filling and redrilling the neck pocket holes on the body just have to stick the neck on the body . There you can see where the new holes must be. Then mark it with the screws and bore.
