been on here for about 12 months now and no gears pics, sorry! here we go
i went from being a pedal philistine (zero pedals, seriously, not even a tuner!) to a modest setup of boss DD3, boss sd1, EH nano small stone. Nothing special i know but i was in a covers band so sometimes you just have to use stuff for certain parts.
From there it got stupid
again everything pretty much stock apart from the big muff which has the tonestack bypass mod. i was running two amps at the time, fender hot rod deluxe and tiny terror. being the only guitarist in the band it really does help spread the sound and with two seperate sounds through each amp it really was a sweet sounding setup. a lot of effort though.
After re-discovering the joys of playing my guitar straight into my amp at the end of last year i decided to force myself to slim down the setup. i purchased an EH pedal bag (which ive only had for about 2 weeks but i love it already) and the current board now looks like this
the boards above were/are for my originals band. my all purpose covers-band-board looks like this
pure genius! using a three quid cornershelf from wilkinsons covered in velco it fits perfectly inbetween the mic stand legs.
my xmas present to myslef (the infamous part broke part ok) fender blender and xmas pressie from the folks boss rc3. still getting to grips with this
hoping this year to get some short of short scale guitar. at the mo just standard fare really. no pics but fender mex tele (best playing guitar ive ever had £160!!), vintage v6 strat, epi 335, dano u2, gibson les paul (i know, i know, im really sorry but i was young! AND i did the full pete townshend on it at a gig so the neck is currently releasing its grip on the headstock)
phew, oh and at the end of this month i will being purchasing thom's internet! cant wait!

some tasty looking gear on here in recent times. i've only just got the dual terror back up and running again, but after stringing up with 11's again i'm finding less reasons to use anything. wouldn't mind one of those dunlop volume pedals and go for that knopfler style of controlling volume/gain.

I've been fooling around with:
Unfortunately the looper is not mine, borrowed from a bandmate but it looks tits on my board. I have a Behringer Superfuzz in the mail as well as a timhulio Klon Clone, so this will fill out a little.
Put a GFS bridge and Vintage Style tuners on this badass 51' from serfx, and it rips.

If anything it is a little too bassy for my tastes, but it is a really good low/medium gain box. I wouldn't use the gain much past 2 or 3 o'clock. I'd say one of the best in its' price range easily.mrperson wrote:How's the ODR-1 sound?cobascis wrote:Unfortunately the looper is not mine, borrowed from a bandmate but it looks tits on my board. Note on construction: piece of shit. Behringer makes more robust pedals. The fucking plastic foot pad falls off, and so does the soft plastic pad on the back. Whatever glue they use is not working. The first one I got was the same. It's like they're using Elmers.
All in all a good pedal for the money though.

Sort of finalized board, I'm replacing the ODR1 with a timhulio Klon clone as soon as it arrives. Then all my needs are met other than a cool phaser/flanger.
Awesome band practice today, I used a two amp setup. My bassman and a Sunn Beta Bass. I found out the stereo out of the DD-2 splits the signal when bypassed, so I can run two amps with it. When engaged it does the ping pong affect, one amp is delayed.

Thank you. The red pedal is a clone of the original Marshall guv'nor overdrive pedals from the 80's. I had an original but it got stolen in 99. I bought one of the reissue ones but it just did not do what the original did. Heard this clone and liked it.cobascis wrote:Nice rig! What is that red pedal?
