Two tuner fixes, a neck shim, some old strings and one broken internal wire later ... HOLY WOW!

Cool! How close can you get the intonation on it. Also, what scale length is it?

24" and the intonation is good - I kicked the bass side of the bridge back about 3mm and gave it a 5 degree angle, and it's only noticeably off if I play barre chords past the 12th fret. Pretty amazingly good to play apart from the high-ish action, I foresee another shim (and some fret work perhaps). Very raw sound through the overdrive.
