New MXR OD pedal

MXR Custom Badass Modified OD:

I really like my MXR Custom Badass '78 Distortion so I would be interested to have a go on one of these. Wonder what pedal it's a modified version of? I've read that it could be a Tube Screamer (for a change) or a Way Huge Green Rhino in a different box, which I think is based on a TS anyway.

How much money you got on it? We could make a deal.

I don't think these are available to buy yet though.

Have you watched the videos?

Sounds like a tubescreamer to me.

Yep. I'm not that familiar with the Tubescreamer sound anymore as I haven't played one for ages, but thanks for the heads up.

To be honest, i don´t think it´s any better than most OD´s...same was with the badass ´78 distortion, a fantastic product video posted on most forums, but in reality just another DS-1 style pedal.....whatever...i guess i´ll try it anyway...

I have the 78 distortion and really like it, it's stayed on my board for at least 2 months - which is a record for me. Don't know how it compares to a DS1 though as I haven't played one of those for years. What I like about it is that it has a very wide ranging tone control, I rarely get to use my own amp when gigging so need to be able to adjust the tone to match whatever amp I am using and this seem to do it very well.
