It wouldn't work, but a conversion neck would. It means you'd have 24" scale but a lack of frets.

Again with a conversion neck. Like the Teles on the left and right, here -
Jimmy Page plays a 24fret Baritone conversion tele like that in the 'it might get loud' movie, you can probably find a clip on youtube.

would work with a squier duo sonic neck, or a squier jagmaster neck..
