Quick question about Coronados
So, I'm very close to buying a Coronado II, the only thing is, on the headstock it simply says 'Fender'; no Coronado, or Coronado II.
Is this normal?
I'll of course post more pics if I get it

It appears that people used to scratch the decals off so they can pretend they had Strats. 30 years before the web, people didn't have photos or compare info, so they had some backwards assed ideas. It could also have been youth and the drugs.
That neck and headstock look real enough to me.

also they may have been out of Coro decals that day and used something else.. and clipped off the other model's name.
and more likely, this could be an early Coronado or prototype- apparently Fender initially wanted to call the new guitar the Aztec, but then changed to the Coronado. Once in a while, an early Coronado will show up with no model name on it- Fender hadn't either decided on the name or made the decals yet!
