I'm going to get one and use it to play Queens of the Stone Age and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's on it. Fuck you, grunge revivalists. It was fucking shit anyway.

Fuck it, I'm going to immediately replace the pickups with stupidly high-gain pickups and stick the Jazzy pickups in my Nu-Sonic. Fuck you slightly cooler Cobain kiddies.

you mean to tell me that you can play more than MBV, SY, or Dino Jr. riffs on a jazzmaster?

PROVE IT. I DON'T BELIEVE.

I don't even really like Dino Jr. I've deliberately sought out a few songs but I never really got into them. Same with My Bloody Valentine, I even bought an MBV album once, listened to it, didn't think much of it. Might give it another go. And although I still love SY I haven't really listened to them for years. So I can play a few SY riffs.

I could definitely play one or two Mudhoney riffz on it, though. But it looks way too classy for that.

A Google search for this guitar comes up with an Offset Guitars thread... complete with a "This site may harm your computer" warning.

OSG was hacked the other week so that is why you might be seeing the warning.

Loveless and Isn't Anything are definitely growers, took me a good few listens to really get into them but once I did I loved them. There are a load of records that I love that this applied to for me though.

Almost love MBV, but it just doesn't feel 100% right. Personally I'd play surf on it.

A friend gave me a copy of Loveless back in the 90s, saying that he "knew" I would be very into it. But I wasn't.

About 5 years ago, I gave it another try. Hot damn, I think I listened to that album everyday for almost a year straight. It's an album that is really difficult to get into at first, but once you do, it becomes addicting. So much in fact, that I saw them twice on their reunion tours of 2008-09.

You Made Me Realise is my favorite MBV recording, though.

Definitely inspired me to buy a Jag. And a reverse delay pedal, no less.

Spotted one of these in G M Music in Newport today, looks really nice and well put together. No price tag on it though.

Fuckpants.

This or a Dano Baritone? This or a Dano Baritone? A friend has been holding on to one of the Jag-style Baritones for a year now. He wants to sell but he wants it to go to a friend. I'm the only person who understands the baritone way. And he's not budging from £200.

I know what's going to happen; I'll buy the Bari and by the time I get around to buying the Mascis, they'll all be gone. If I buy the Mascis, my mate will either sell the Dano or decide he quite likes it after all.

DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

+1

This is the exact reason why I don't own a bari. Yet.

I love baritones completely, but even leaving aside my strict No Dano policy, I'd advise against this deal: firstly, you could buy a new one for £200, and secondly a solid body baritone won't give you any of the Danelectro magic that their regular construction does. Hang on for an older reissue (don't you already have one you could buy a baritone neck for anyway?), or stick a baritone conversion neck on a cheap tele/strat/Jazzmaster.
