i already took the neck off and i am going to of course as you all know. i am the (BINDINGS AND BLOCK INALYS) maker, im starting tommorow , i will do the neck, fist off the guitar sucks in a few ways, if no one knows there were alot alot recalls to the factory for something, and when i got the guitar and plugged it in before i took it apart, i found out what the recall was about,

when the neck pickup is only on, from the upper controls and wheel volume/tone,, its perfect, but than

im going to do the neck exactly like my jaguars neck, same color bindings and same block material., with the same fender vintage frets, and instead of this ruff satin on here, ill finish it with a nice smooth gloss urethane,

Image

just starting today

Image

im probably gonna sell the tuners too because i wanna buy the "F" tuners from the mustang with the plastic tops like i used to have, i shouldnt have sold them, but i never couod make up my mind so i sometimes things like that, sell things and than buy them back, idk

Image

i ordered 2 different decals for the neck, ill decide which one im gonna use when the time comes to decal it, and ill use the other style one for the neck ill buy to keep on this body, im selling the Mascis neck im modding eventullay when its done, i wouldve kept it, but it dont want the truss rod hole at the headstock, so ill eventually buy another neck, also with a bigger headstock, and do the same job to it, and use the second decal i ordered, and keep that neck, and with the bigger headstock, and ivory bindings, the Mustang tuners will go good with the neck and color of the body,

the two different decals are the swirls with the spagetti font and the swirls with the FAT font, ill probably use the "spaggetti" font one for this Mascis neck, because the headstock is smaller than the one i will choose to buy for the body that i am keeping, but these are pics of the decals i bought
Image

this is almost exactly what the neck will look like exept for that damn truss rod adjustment at the head

Image

this is the neck im thinking of buying for the body im keeping of this guitar, and i will probably use the decal with the Bigger "Fender" font
Image

oh yeah, by the way, i posted somewhere here that i was searching everywhere online for this "Fender japan gig bag for jazzmaster"< and someone here gave me a link to the "ebay" listing of this case and i bought it, THANKS to whoever that was,
Image

its crazy too, because i was searching ebay for about a month after my last job, because one of my customers that dropped of his "fender japan mij jazzmaster i completly remodled, he had that gig bag and i fell in love with it and he wouldnt sell it for nothing, i offered him $100, and he said "no:. and i ended up buying it for only $32 bucks on the bay,

this was one of my last clients guitar i did, that had the same case
his neck was a mexican strat and he bought it on ebay and sent it to my address to build it up, than he drove from pennslyvannia to new jersey to drop the guitar off, "brand new mij jazzmaster, so i can do modds to the body as well and attach the new neck and do all the adjustments it needed, intonation, make sure the action was the correct hieght, no fret buzzing, etc

this was my last 3 jobs ago

Image

you can see the gig bag in the backround of one of the images, anyway, thanks too the one on this site that directed me to the case link on ebay, it was the only one also, i got it from , reliable fender on ebay, they have alot of stuff, but never seen that case there

that neck was alittle tough but im getting so much better, it came out better than my CIJ Jaguar
Image

i woudve liked to use this same Jazzmaster decal as my client johns , the 68, without the "swirls", but this Mascis headstock is too small,
Image

thant was the whole reason one of my clients rather buy a used mexican strat neck with a truss at headstock, because he wanted that "CBS" headstock and logo,.
Image

also, off the topic, since doing this work nonstop since i last posted my last work on here which i forget what it even was,, i am constantly having to buy more and more tools and supplies so i had to upgrade my tool box, got rid of that little piece of shit one i had and got this bad boy, its got compartmnets for each type of job needed for this type of work,, its great, and fits everything , even my turtle wax

Image
Image
Image
Image

i have enough supplies and tools now for the next couple months,

i know someone is gonna say something negative about me because it posted a bunch of pictures of my "GUITAR PROJECTS" , even though we are in the "GUITAR PROJECTS " forum.......

but i dont give a fuck because i do amazing work, i love doing it, its what makes me happy, and now actually making more money than i planned on, so i am able to do more buisness transactions and buying and selling with more computer shit i just bought aside from my new iphone, for buisness on the rode, but just got the biggest newest MAC, and a nice new tv, all from sitting at hone and working on guitars in 2 months, no other job, this is my job now,it turned into my own buisness, it pays more than my last 3 jobs, and i never even sell here, and hardly on ebay, maybe once in a while ill make a neck and post it on ebay, but most of my clients are guys that lost the bids on ebay for a neck for example, than email me and request that i make them the same neck , or a different one, whatever, i also have an american strat loaded body im gonna eventually fix up with one of my style necks and i bet its gonna sell for a pretty penny, and all kinds of stuff just from like 10 people that lost the auction, email me for the same thing they wanted to buy and lost, than their buddies want the same neck, and so forth, but this is my thing and the craziest thing is that people are probably going to
start posting negative shit about how many photos, or somethiong stupid just because im good,......

Image
Image

im not trying to show off how much money i make doing this, but the point is people on here make fun of me for doing what i do, and if doing what i do gets me this kinda shit, money and new stuff, than make your fun, maybe your some how giving me good luck, otherwise, if your a dedicated guitarist to the issue of modds and things like building, than you welcome to reply to my post and pictures

if your computer takes 2 years to load this page. maybe your internet sucks or its your computer, i had people with MACS also complain about how long it takes, and i honestly dont believe those people. because, on my ipod, iphone, ipad, macbook, and new MAC desktop, my pages load in a second, so i just think its another way just to put me down because you cant think of anything but i put alot of pictures and i dont know how to internet good, well, im glad i dont know how to be a geek, id rather talk and hang out in real life enviorments and play guitar, build , go out, and not be on a computer so much that you are a good interneter,

i was actually told im not a good internter, that person, i dont remember who, but he must be a fucking startrek lover like one of those geeks that goes to those events dressed like a fucking yoda

Dude, you nailed it, I am totally going to start "posting negative shit" just because you're good.

But for reals, I don't know what you're doing differently but your pictures are organized and not popping up in the middle of paragraphs or breaking tables, and they're decently sized so they load fast, so I think we're cool here.

It is special.

Rather than F tuners you could get white button kluson-style tuners, they'll actually fit without further mods and give the same vibe from the front. Allparts make some. These are what I have on my CIJ Jaguar.

yeah, hard decision, but i already had the "F" tuners from the mustang before, and the tops (Buttons) where biege not white, and i need the biege off white color to match my ivory bindings and vintage white color of the jazzmaster body, i had it all together before /Users/mrkania/Desktop/Screen shot 2011-12-17 at 12.14.37 PM.pngabout a year ago when i did my first mod, the "jagmaster: that i turned into a real hybrid jazzmaster jaguar, i actually wired up all the swithes and pots to the jazzmaster pickups and filled the back of the jagmmaster and painted it the same color as this mascis jazzmaster, i routed the jagmaster for all the controls and tailpiece, bought a "Warmoth jazzmaster neck, but used a jaguar decal, i did real mother of peral inal blocks and white bindings although with all the polyurthane gave the bindings a amberish tint, so it matched the "F" tuners, plus i liked the F's on the tuners, i really shouldnt of sold that guitar,
i do miss it, and i liked the way i routed the tailpiece lower than this newer jazzmasters, mexican, blacktop, and now this mascis, the tailpiece is moved up higher, dont like that, but ill live with it,

this was my jagmaster to hybrid real jag/jazzmaster before the Warmoth neck i bought and modded,

it took alot to get it that way, never mind what came next, the whole Warmoth "first binding job, and second block inlay job, which was my first real mother of pearl inlay job, after that, i just use celluliod pearl, its much easier and i like the patterns in the grain better, ill start putting some images , but it takes time to crop and attach photos and load and shit, so give me a minute

but what you see in the end is this, how it came out in the end, but i want to put together some neck shots just like these body shots, to show how good the"F" tuners looked on it, this picture was already my second neck modd, i got rid of the jagmaster neck and changed the scale and this is the warmoth jazzmaster neck i bound and blocked, first binding job

oh, and i dont care what anyone says, because i heard people knock this guitar, but for a first guitar modd,/project, paint job, electronic job neck job, it was pretty damn good,

Image

ill post some neck shots next, actually tommorow, im tired, too much in one day,

night guys

i taped it to a piece of cardboard to keep it flat while working on it,

i used my little dremel on some of the routing for the blocks, but the corners and striaght cuts had to be done by hand

this was the first inlay,

how did i ruin this guitar, buy thIS guitar the way it comes and than tell me if i made it worse,

there were thousands of recalls on this guitar for the electronics, the sound distorted , i have to re wire the hole thing also, and im sorry but, i like tortoise shell on the vintage white for a jazzmaster, and this neck im not keeping, just doing the B&B and decal, than selling it to buy a mexican jazzmaster neck, thn do the B&B on the mexican neck im buying, than using the decal with the Fatter font "FENDER" on the mexican neck i will buy after selling this on, so basically, this guitar will be a mexican jzzaster, except the body is made in china, but made of basswood just like the Made in Japan ones, plus avri pickguard, i ordered the prewired mexican jazzmaster pickups and all from the bay, im gonna try to fix this wire set up and sell it,
