More PCBs just in. I'd build these things into actual pedals, but being exposed to hundreds of relatives has gotten me the worst cold. Actually being ill is kinda relaxing, because you have to stop for a few days. I can manage a little light soldering though...

Here's the Dresden synth fuzz board with one of the grey metallic (look great in person) boxes.

And a nice board for the next batch of Unpleasant Companions (boosted FY-2 clones).

Yellow one is a prototype, the grey is what the rest will look like inside, and I'll sort a demo out tomorrow if I lay off the sauce a little tonight.

Here's the first Demon Fuzz demo, many thanks to Tim Bricheno (possibly the nicest guy in rock) who came round to try out pedals and stuff yesterday:

There's a TL074 quad op amp in there, two of the op amps are used for Klon buffers, and two in the IC Muff Fuzz circuit. The Muff Fuzz has a couple of resistor values changed for more gain. It uses silicon diodes rather than the germanium ones of the originals too. This makes it crunchier.

So in 'bypass' it goes: in -> buffer -> out
And when it's on it goes: in -> buffer -> muff fuzz -> out

I should probably mention...

For sale, only £70! shipped in the UK, moar elsewhere. Available in white or mint/puke green like the one in the demo.

Goodness me - that's a lot of noise from a little pedal.

Thanks! It's just a volume knob :)

You can adjust the upper/lower octave fuzz with the trimmers on the board, but really it's a set and forget deal!

No probs Vince! I like to think your UC is the first of the 'mkII' pedals- it's got new knobs, the pro pcb and Lumberg jacks. Hope you get lots of use out of it.

In other news, Fredric Effects is now on Twitter. Promise future tweets will be more interesting than the first...

New colour Harmonic Percolators have arrived. I'll build one up and poast pics tonight.

A bunch of this batch are called 'Perky Harlot' rather than 'Harmonic Percolator' so they can sell on ebay USA.

Ha wish it were that! No, another guy in the USA who builds HP clones claims to hold the trademark for 'Harmonic Percolator' and pulls any ebay auctions that use the term. The Perky Harlot gets round the problem, and people here can have one too if they want.
