Schecter guys?
The neck is hideous... but that's a lot of guitar for $242.

Yeah. Tusq nut, Grover tuners, EMG 81/85s, there isn't a weak point to that guitar, is there? I'd sell the EMGs and buy better pickups, and then that would be a great playing and sounding guitar.
I don't get that slanted neck plate thing, though. Seems pointless.

WTF, I cannot believe that price! If I were in the market I'd get it. Just because it's a bolt-on doesn't mean it's cheap...same quality as their set neck models. They're still great guitars for the price. And you could probably resell it for a lot more...I really don't get why it's going for so cheap.
I'm very tempted to buy this and have it shipped to my family in the States (we're heading down to visit in February)... but I really don't want a guitar like that
I kinda want a dual-humbucker guitar, but I'm just not into that sort of design at all... but it is tempting to bring it home and flip it. Would probably be a nightmare trying to fly home with it though

Honestly, if the neck wasn't so hideous I'd have bought it already. It's just too good for the money.

I got my schecter for 230 i think. WELL worth it. Mine's set neck and 24.75, both of which i prefer though. It's got a silly 12th fret marker of a Black Jack (Ace and Jack cards). So, not quite as goofy, but goofy none-the-less, but then again, WHO GIVES A SHIT. It's my favorite guitar to play for most things.

I love the look of shred-axes, I only don't play them because they sound/feel like shit.

Speaking of ugly guitars... wait until you guys see the hideous beast I'm picking up today for $150.
The mom and pop shop originally had it listed at over $300, but over the past few years they chipped the price down... today I sent them an email saying that it's just too ugly for anyone else and they may as well sell it to me for $150 to clear shelf space. And they went for it.
What is it? You'll find out tonight... but whoa momma is it fugly.

Shredder guitars are a lot of things that are bad but they usually sound and play really, really well. That's their point, isn't it? I guess if you like baseball necks, curved fretboards, and super heavy strings, you probably wouldn't like shredders but then you're probably not trying to play at extreme speed with those specs.
EMG actives get a bad rep because most users use them to sound like shit, but you could say that about any pickup. They're actually very good clean pickups, excellent for effects playing.
