Very nice indeed. Though those Orange cabs are a bitch to move regularly - unbelievably solid though which is why.

I apologise for hijacking your thread but I have to say I hate all this NAD, NPD, NGD bollocks! Just tell us what you got in bloody thread title! I thought that Shortscale was exempt from it for a long time, but a few infiltrated and we never got rid of it!
NAD just makes me think of this:

The cab is heavy as shit. It weighs more than half of what i weigh. I think they makes me the only boogie owner on this board? This amp sounds amazing, and not just for metal/shred.
there are other Mesa owners here (Grant comes to mind and I have owned them though no longer)
Nice one though.
Mesa's are great amps, they just got a bad rap from all the bad MTV/VH1 New MEtal bands who went with the whole PRS/Mesa rig cause it looked cool then played shitty music through them. Neither PRS or Mesa makes bad equipment... There are just as many wankers playing a tele through a deluxe as a PRS through a Mesa.
They say great minds think alike....Sometimes we do too...

I like Mesa amps, just not the rectifier series which is what all the bands you're talking about use.

Lol, well i definitely need a mic and a recording device since i ditched the jamvox. The mic is overloaded so much it has an almost chorus effect. I used the mark IV mode with the v shape EQ. I'll suppose youll wanna see a cam shot of the amp as well.

Hahahahah NICE GUY THOM HAS LOST HIS MIND!
Don't know what came over me
I think, as Billy mentioned, that Mesas get a bad image because of the rectifiers. My old boss lent me his Studio 22 once and it was a REALLY nice amp.
I used to talk mad shit about "mesa double rectum-fryers" in the '90s... I really had no choice though, all the nu-metal berks were using them while slagging off Marshalls for being "hair metal amps"...at the time we had a turn of phrase for that: "um, hello??"
It was like the pot calling the kettle black, except the pot was also rockin' white guy dreadlocks, costume contact lenses and eyebrow piercings while the kettle had just resigned to finally getting a short haircut and trying pants that didn't constrict the bollocks for the first time.
For my "first real amp" (that meant a tube one) I was pining for a blonde Boogie Subway Blues for the better part of 2 years.

Guitarist in my old band played an ESP Children Of Bodem V through this exact mesa head. Only after the fact do I realize how METALZ it must seem in practice, but it sounded pretty good, if bit too gainy due to the guitar in question.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the rectifier series. I would love a road king or roadster. For me the creamy gain and amazing sustain at reasonable volumes was the reason why i went with the mark V.
