Shame it's so expensive, it has some nice features.

- series option is a nice plus
- as are the Bareknuckle pickups
- the bridge changes seem legit
- I bet it looks gorgeous in the other finish - this one looks a little too white, the chrome doesn't contrast - just looks washed out.

well the guys over at OSG might have a point, that the street price will be much lower, really.
if you compare, it's actually only $20 more than an AVRI. and people ARE buying AVRIs, new ones.

we'll see.

and OH YES MOMMA i need to see one of them faded CAR ones!!!

Shouldn't have watched that video....realized that Johnny Mar has fixed everything I previously wasn't crazy about in the Jaguar, now I want one.

It's nice to see a sig model that seems properly thought out and fully featured rather than it just being a weird colour with a sig on the back of the headstock. I do agree with Miek, the guitar is too white. White guard on a white jag makes it look huge and the chrome looks too spread out and disjointed. Nice black guard would fix that. Bet the other colour is lovely. All in all great features and a good way to mod a nice 2nd hand Japanese Jaguar.

Shame about the sig on the front of the headstock. Lame as I may be, that would totally put me off.

Is this a U.S. guitar?

I imagine so, the price is a bit more than an AVRI, so if it isn't - that's a giant piss take.

I thought that the KC was about this price and MIM?

I'm always wary when Fender leave out the country of origin on the spec sheet. They've been going that a lot lately.

I'm a little wary of country too mainly because of it not being that much more than an AVRI and with those upgraded pickups and custom neck and body contours. I guess we won't know til we know

Hard to believe Johnny Marr isn't using a Mastery bridge in his Jaguars these days. Maybe Fender are paying him not to!

I'm sure it's a great guitar but I'd still rather have a stock vintage one with blocks'n'binding I think....unless the man himself happened to give me one of his spare ones.

MIM KC Jaguar - £993
MIM CP Jaguar HH - £729

AVRI Jaguar - £1,500
Johnny Marr Jaguar - ?

The AVRI comparison came because somewhere else I read it was just above the RRP for a AVRI. So I guess you're looking at £1,600+.

Wowsers.

RRP is $2019, I think an AVRI RRP is just under $2000 now and we know what they do with the switch to pounds. Street price will be around £1,600 like you say.

Yeah I know Mike was quoting the street price but we're trying to figure out the country of origin from the little info we have so comparing both guitars RRP makes more sense than guessing the Marr sig street price.

The RRP dropped to being listed as £1149 in some stores for the KC. I'm guessing most people weren't willing to fork out that much coin for a Mexican Guitar.
Looking at the hardware etc on the Marr sig I'd guess this is gonna be a MIM.
