And tell me I didn't miss out on a super score:

This was on ebay recently, but I couldn't pull the trigger on it at the price the seller was asking and it has a possibly significant issue. It's got to be some type of Teisco, right?

yeah, teisco/kawai built. How much was he asking, and what was wrong with it? I wouldn't say it would have been a super score, just maybe a score.

$160 + $50 shipping. The bridge was missing a bolt or a screw and the seller was a non-player. Said it might be an easy fix or it might be for parts - I didn't want to risk it at that price. I did contact the seller after the auction closed about buying it for a lower price, but he said he might have a local buyer.

It'll have been shite - laminate neck, ply body. Fun if you find one in a skip, but never buy one.

Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better about passing on it.

$1.50 is too much for one of these bangers... you had a narrow escape.

I love it! If it doesn't sell for a lower price, list it again for $30 more:

The pole pieces on those pickups look like phillips head screws. Pretty freaky.
