it's because there's no binding on the neck. while I suppose technically you could call it B&B due to the binding on the body, the neck is only blocked, not bound.

ha ha, i was actually thinking last night... i wonder when pualk will start in on teh tele's .
i'd never seen a blocked tele... now i wish that was still the case.

Agreed, it also just doesn't seem to fit the aesthetic of a tele either, so I don't think that even binding would make it look much better.

Dude if they're selling LPB Biffy JBs with matching stocks in the USA, I'm fucking IN.
I wish Fender would reissue the standard-style white blonde teles from the early '60s, like steve cropper's... the reissues named for this era (mij '62, mim classic 60s and avri '62) are all "custom colour" styled with 3-ply mint guards and the only white one is solid oly... unless you get into custom shop replica territory.
