Oh shit that is so ill.

As I'm still tentatively shopping for a 4000 series bass I'm starting to appreciate the other Rickenbacker colors. It's a shame they've gotten so boring lately, but I guess that's what people want these days and they just do what sells.

But shit, that purple is like the most badass color for a 4000. I want it hard.

That's not a Rickenbacker color,It's a refin.

It does look cool, but I've never seen another ric in that color, so I'm inclined to agree that it's a refin. Rickenbacker has had some really cool colors that they've done over the years as their special "Color of the year" finishes which have been really cool. It's rare to see them pop up for sale, but there's been a few that I would love to own.

I like Rickenbacker's color options, at least on the 4003. I don't like the mapleglo on that body so much, but I think fireglo is gorgeous! I love my fireglo 4003!
