Your favorite dirt pedal with a Jaguar???

Post by gypsyseven »

What's your favorite dirt pedal with a Jaguar for indie/alternative rock music?
I really like my Maxon OD-808 into my AC30 C2....

What do you use and like?

Catalinbread Formula No.5 and Dirty Little Secret. Both sound great with the Jag, particularly the FN5.

Either a Princeton Reverb RI or a blackface Bassman, both take pedals really well :)

How do you like the VR? I want an AC30, but I have bad luck with tube amps. The VR sounded like a great buy, but I'm worried it wont sound the same.

i don't actually have one yet, but have spent a fair amount of time with a friends, and it's amazing. for the price it does great ac30 cleans, handles pedals really well, and is lighter/cheaper than a full-tubed amp.

i will be purchasing one as soon as i can offload my peavey xxx combi (i'm looking at you, mellowlogic).

I had a period of using the MXR Distortion + then went onto using my Amps distortion. When i used a Jag regularly i had a Marshall JCM 2000.

Bridge, into a RAT, then into a custom RAT, then into a Twin. The result is facemelting.

For a few months I've been using a Lovepedal Les Lius in Deluxe mode into a Bass Big Muff in Dry mode, so the drive is mixed with the fuzz. I really dig it.

Strangle switch (high pass filter) next to the pickup switches on your Jag.
