dude what the fuck are you worried about. i would KILL to be able to play left handed. Left Handed Fenders are just about the coolest shit on the planet. a lefty strat or mustang is as cool as fuck.

I would proudly buy a lefty MG-KC and rock the shit out of it without giving a fuck if people thought i was a kurtabee. you have to remember its only a small group of people who are gear heads and notice that its a "kurt guitar". most of the population would just see a blue guitar, or a guitar similar to "that guy in nirvana"

millions of people buy Rickenbaker 325s like lennon, Black strats with Maple necks like hendrix, Gibson SG's like Angus Young etc no one gives a fuck. in fact id encourage to buy the same stuff as your idols. do you really want to be a famous guy playing an obscure carvin or samick??

I would do something about that hair though, not cause it makes you look like kurt, more because it makes you look like an overweight surfer.

Except you wouldn't be able to find as large of a selection of guitars, and the ones that are out there might have a markup. Not to mention that not all of the parts are interchangeable from righty to lefty.

I'm left handed (but play righty), and a few of my friends that are lefties that play lefty (and a weird righty that plays lefty) regularly talk about guitars, and they get jealous about what gear I can get that they either can't get or don't want to pay extra for.

This is probably the most baffling comparison I have ever received in my entire life.

Nobody who judges you on relatively esoteric things like a humbucker-equipped Mustang is worth their judgment now, are they.

OK gang... anyone knows where new humbucker Stangs are gonna be made?
MiM or MiJ? MiA seems very unlikely.

I'm betting on MIM, like the kurdtz Jag. Especially at the prices they are talking about.

The Mustangs look amazing, I just hope they're nicer than the KC Jaguars. I played one the other day and it was pretty meh, not terrible but nowhere near worth the £999 price tag. And some of the 'wear' is pretty ridiculous.

Ouch. At least lefties are no more expensive - that's a nice change.
Just noticed that the humbucker is direct mount to the body so no adjusting it with the pickguard on...lame...

When Kurt Cobain hit the stage, it was very often with a Mustang® guitar-an enigmatic anti-hero figure with an esoteric anti-hero instrument. It’s with great pride then that Fender introduces the Kurt Cobain Mustang, which evokes the man, the band, the sound and the times, and gives an authentically crafted nod to one of the most unlikely guitars to ever find itself at the center of a musical maelstrom.

Yeap mounted to the body, you could change that though...

I want one, already have one in blue that I made up myself but really want the fiesta red one.
I may wait for second hand ebay deals.
Anyone know if these will be limited?

Honestly, the more I look at this, the less I find anything to be pissed off about. I think initially, I was skeptical but looking at that specs sheet, I can't find anything I dislike about this guitar.

With that pickup, neck, and that body, this guitar is going to absolutely rule. The Tune-O-Matic bridge, whatever, as long as the radius works, it's a great choice and would be a wonderful change of pace from my white Mustang.

I love this guitar. I'm going to buy it. I don't care how much it costs.

THANK YOU FENDER FOR NOT PUTTING A 9.25" MEDIUM JUMBO NECK ON THIS.

Everything that the Pawn Shop Mustang ruined about my favorite guitar, this one does it right. It is the perfect hot rodded Mustang. This is even better than the '65 in my eyes because I can put GraphTech or roller saddles on this one and probably get even better trem performance, plus I prefer the contoured body, and if I don't like humbucker (and I know I will), I can just replace the pickguard. Just looks hot as fuck, too. Also is a nice place I can put that spare Lace Green Sensor I've got lying around.

I don't care how much this is. This is a hot guitar. Fuck. And it's available in lefty too so nobody has anything truly bad to say about this guitar.

Haha. Any issue I have with this guitar can be fixed without making a single extra hole in the guitar. I'm happy!
