I like how the picture of the kurtdz has a white humbucker, and none of the ones Fender will be knocking outwill have white humbuckers.othomas2 wrote:Official page up on Fender now.

You know, I usually hate the 9.5 neck as well, but I actually loved the Pawnshop neck. Go figure.honeyiscool wrote:
THANK YOU FENDER FOR NOT PUTTING A 9.25" MEDIUM JUMBO NECK ON THIS.
Everything that the Pawn Shop Mustang ruined about my favorite guitar, this one does it right.
However, I hated the wide range humbuckers and the strings through the body.
I am actually really surprised that this is going to be released for sale in the US. Thought it was going to turn out to be another Ishibashi thing.
Any chance they could release the MIJ Bass VI stateside as well? (not holding breath)

A guy from the Bass VI Players and Schecter VI players Facebook groups has been in contact with Fender; they're Japanese domestic :/

Agree 100%.honeyiscool wrote:Honestly, the more I look at this, the less I find anything to be pissed off about. I think initially, I was skeptical but looking at that specs sheet, I can't find anything I dislike about this guitar.
With that pickup, neck, and that body, this guitar is going to absolutely rule. The Tune-O-Matic bridge, whatever, as long as the radius works, it's a great choice and would be a wonderful change of pace from my white Mustang.
I love this guitar. I'm going to buy it. I don't care how much it costs.

Everything that the Pawn Shop Mustang ruined about my favorite guitar, this one does it right. It is the perfect hot rodded Mustang. This is even better than the '65 in my eyes because I can put GraphTech or roller saddles on this one and probably get even better trem performance, plus I prefer the contoured body, and if I don't like humbucker (and I know I will), I can just replace the pickguard. Just looks hot as fuck, too. Also is a nice place I can put that spare Lace Green Sensor I've got lying around.
I don't care how much this is. This is a hot guitar. Fuck. And it's available in lefty too so nobody has anything truly bad to say about this guitar.
This guitar is actually really hot (for me).
My most desirable Fender as of... now.

Needs tort.
Also, sonic blue + tort is a shit combo (IMO), I much prefer sonic blue + white pearl, I actually even prefer that to daphne blue + white pearl.
As far as 9.5" w/ medium jumbo frets go, yeah, some of my favorite necks have that spec. However, it's just something I don't want on my short scales, especially those that cost $1000+.
Kicking and squealing Gucci little piggy.
which reminds me .. anyone has ever seen a TOM for 7.25 radius aftermarket anywhere? If they do it on the Mustang, it must be out there somewhere, or not?
