I love projects that start out as... "I've got an extra pickguard and 1 tone knob"

I found a paint website with some cool metal flake paint jobs. Anyone ever heard of this brand? They have the blue and purple sparkle paints

I'd make the body a lighter green, mint pickguard, red headstock and maple fretboard. THEN you have a Twister!

Very similar to what I'm considering doing with my Strat copy when I next have a surplus of money. I want to get a custom pickguard cut for a single volume and soapbar pickup, probably neck rather than bridge position though.

That BroMo is a nice one. I am drawn to stupidburst on Jazzmasters.

Nervous in what way on the matching headstock?

Glued together the matched Ash guitar stock for this build. I will hopefully pick up a new sander and wood filler this week. I also hope to order the neck and a pickguard this week as well.

Obviously it needs finishing, and I have no idea of the quality.
It has binding and a big fat CBS headstock. It tempts me...
I ordered this neck on ebay. I was able to score a bound vintage spec neck for $184 Shipped. Similiar ALLParts necks unbound were $180 + shipping. I got a hold of another buyer (from the UK actually)on eBay who bought the same neck from the same seller and said the quality was good. Last of the Xmas money gone, but scoring the neck will help the build progress faster. I might try painting the matching headstock and see if I can perfect it before trying it on the body. Then the neck can be curing while I am painting the body.

put any fucking strat neck on it you got laying around.
if you don't have one....someone in the classifides will give you one for free. someone out there has piles of them im sure from old projects that are collecting dust.

$229 bucks and the neck swap takes 3 fucking minutes
