Think I just found my next guitar. Very cool, a smaller version of an Esquire.

Just be thankful you never got on the phone with him... the inefficiency and subsequent "abrasiveness" (aka sandy vagina) of Roger from Jeannie is well documented all over the internet. Even his wife seems wise to it.

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f18/jeann ... re-649868/
I just recieved the guard I ordered from Jeannie's pickguards for a Lakland 55-02. It did not fit properly. They sent a template to me beforehand to ensure it would fit....no problem with the fit of the template. After recieving the guard and seeing the problem, I called to let them know, and to re-order a proper fitting guard, and was met with hostility and complete irrational behavior by Roger (the guy who designs and cuts the guards)...I have NEVER been treated this way, and will NEVER deal with them again. I was nice, understanding, and communicative....but this guy went off on me because I was trying to explain why the guard didn't fit...he was literally yelling at me about how Lakland changes their stuff all the time, how I am not understanding that he can't and won't cut another guard for me, and went on to brow beat me in regards to my intelligence and inability to understand anything....all while he would NOT allow me to get a word in edgewise.
In the end, he literally threw the phone down and his wife picked it up and said they would refund what I paid...which is fine, but they make CUSTOM pickguards for Pete's sake!!!

I've never had a problem with Jeannie. They made my tort JS guard, HH, no switches for me. My Jazzmaster guard, in baby blue... no upper control routes... no problem. Spoke with him several times, very polite to me.

I order a Toronado back plate cover from Guitar Parts Resource, 3 weeks later nothing. They never once responded to any of my voice mails or emails. And everyone swears by them... go figure

GPR have tremendously shitty service, but if you keep bugging them they'll get it eventually. I've got two sheets of shitty tort from them because they kept sending the wrong thing, but I ended up getting the original stuff I wanted both times and keeping the mistakenly sent stuff. I had to email them about 5 times in 3 days, to both addresses they provide (sales and general customer service). BUT nobody was ever abrasive or rude to me about it, and I was far from reasonable the second time. I've heard enough stuff about this Roger guy on the internet that I wouldn't buy from Jeannie just on the off-chance that I might ever have to be in direct contact with him, which is more than I can say for anybody from GPR I've spoken to.
