I've accumulated some new gear in the past couple years and have been getting back into doing music/band stuff now that I finished up with school and have been in a stable career for a while.
Here's my most recent acquisition: a 2006 Fender Telecaster 'Custom' in IBM from the AVRI series. I made a direct 1:1 trade of my Fender AVRI Jaguar for it from some dude on thegearpage -- he seems to be as happy with the trade as I am! I really didn't have any need for the Jaguar since I have a Jazzmaster, and to me the Jaguar just seems like a 'worse' JM in just about every regard. No offense meant to you Jag fans out there.
Anyways, the Telecaster is nice and simple, has a comfy, moderately-thick neck with 7.25" radius, and a robust Fender tone. It and my Jazzmaster sound great together and I think that the other guitar player in my band will be playing it when I'm rocking the JM. I would highly recommend the AVRI series to anyone looking to get a nice Fender, as they can be easily found used for <$1200 and are probably the best production model Fender makes before getting into custom shop stuff.
