'58 Jazzmaster scam
Saw this ad yesterday in my local CL
1958 Original Fender Jazzmaster Guitar Orig. Tweed HSC $1800
I looked for the ad tonite and found this instead
SCAM--->1958 Original Fender Jazzmaster Guitar Orig. Tweed HSC - - $1 (SCAMVILLE)
This ad is a scam, I googled the seller's email address and it comes up with a few hits with him giving people the same line of crap he tried to give me. Please flag this ad so it'll be removed.

Wow,where did you get the photo above? It looks like the same guitar as the ad. The seller(scammer?) described it as '58 Jazzmaster with a body refinished in LPB. He said the pick-guard and whammy bar were replacements and the serial number on the neck plate was from the 1970's.taylornutt wrote:Wow. That is almost identical to one of the color combos I was considering for my Jazzmaster build

CL can be a scary place. My neighbor was robbed, beaten & carjacked meeting someone
Last week, some kid put some puppy on CL... when people came to the door, he chased them bats & clubs and beat em, funny part was after he attack a lady, he called her back and apologized, she then came back for another beating

the story is sad, until she goes back for the second time without the cops
I'd pay $1800
It's funny as in "off", "odd", etc. As in, "This milk has gone funny."Joey wrote:dude says he has a puppy, you ring door bell, dude chases you down and attacks you with a bat, you get away *phone rings* dude says "I'm sorry, really... come get the puppy", you ring door bell ***repeat whole process over***Noirie. wrote:Aye was about to saySimon wrote: ...and that's funny because?!

not really, just assuming this seller has to have worked out something more complicated and devious than the usual "meet me in a public place and give me a bunch of money and I promise I'll call and give you yur guitar later/ wire me money and I'll call you up and give you the guitar later." That shit's so old, Grandmas don't even fall for it.
