Yeah man, well looking forward to getting it. Either way, I sold the Marshall for ΓΒ£120 and will be picking this up for about half that (once I factor in travel and karma price bump), so it's win-win.
The dude got back to me and seems mega nice, gonna pick it up tomorrow afternoon.
He actually posted a vid in the listing a few days ago that I missed, sonds kool. He can really play too, which is always a bit of a comfort when buying gear; none of this "I DIDNT REALISE IT WAS BROKED, I DONT REALLY PLAY MATE LOL"

Well, about 3.5 hours later and I'm back with this heavy little beast. The clean channel is easily twice the volume of the Marshall, and the distortion channel ain't even all that bad!
It's a little boxy sounding (despite the weight, it's pretty small), but taming the mids, trebble and boosting the lows makes it sound infinitely better. Added bonuses include TWO FX LOOPS, switchable reverb for each channel and a channel blend mode for faux-TOOBSCREAMA clean-dirty nonsense. It even uses the same exact same 100w 4ohm Celestion that I originally bought for the Marshall, so I've got a back-up

I gave the dude ΓΒ£55 (versus the ΓΒ£41 it went for), so he was pleased, the nice young man he was.
Totally worth the travel and time involved; thanks loadz for the recommendations guys.. NOW I GOT TWO HH AMPS!!

nice one Doog on getting what you needed and being such a gent to the seller. Now starting to get HH Amp envy, especially with that 70s hifi style blue glow on the control panel that they have when on

Yeah, they were a UK company from Cambridge, I place I used to live very close to. Laney bought 'em out and still sell similar kinda stuff using the name and design aesthetic: http://www.hhelectronics.com/products.phpNick wrote:Is HH a brit thing? I can't find anything on eBay for them.
Check out this disgusting circa '96 era unofficial website for some crusty magazine ad scans and poor choices of background images: http://www.hhamplification.co.uk/history.asp
