Rusted Vintage Working 1979 Little Big Muff

Post by taylornutt »

I found this on Craigslist and was wondering if anyone ever heard of it. I thought the Little Big Muff was just a recently creation. Looks like the same power adapter as my Small Clone Chorus if that is in fact the power hole in the top.

Worth $80?

i'd say... not worth the $80. The Big Muff is better if you like this type of distortion.

Totally worth $80, I'd say. I paid way more for mine.

The thing is, I take the exact opposite view of the guy who did the U-Toob demo as I think the 'down' setting sounds totally fucking fantastic. I also think the initial clean tone he had with his Tele before he opted for the shitty mud-tone sounded better, so it's obviously a case of different strokes.

+1. I will contact him today. It's a long shot because he lives almost an hour away but it kinda looks like the Small Clone Chorus of Muff Pedals.

yeah, the little big muff is not new. i think the newer ones are not as cool sonding as the original, but they're still nice.

i say do it, for the collectible-ility over anything.

it doesn't sound switched out of the circuit. it sounds like the regular big muff tone circuit at about at 9 o'clock (the dark setting) and then 5 o'clock (for the bright setting).

I finally got a hold of the seller but he had just sold it off. I will keep my eye out for more of these in the future.
