hmm.. i've been thinking about replacing the pickups in the Squire Mascis Jazzmaster i'm (90%) likely to get pretty soon.

I was thinking about asking Novak to build me a humbucker with one coil from an AlNiCo Mustang pickup and the other coil loaded with magnetic screws like a WRHB.
Kicking and squealing Gucci little piggy.

It'd be a shame to do that immediately after buying. They're not necessarily to everyone's idea of what a Jazzmaster sound 'should' be, but I like the pickups on mine. Replacing them certainly isn't necessary.

To be honest, when I watched the demo vid of those Novak WRHB, I was a bit reminded of the sound of the pickups in my JMJM...

Chalk it up to bad audio capture/playback?
I'm just sayin'...
