I sold my Holy Grail Nano and bought the Behringer Reverb Machine, which is a copy of the L6 Verbzilla. I like the Reverb Machine a lot for its crazy "cave" setting. Plus its like $40 new. The Holy Grail Nano was definitely good, but pretty limited in terms of controls, because the HG nano only has one dial.
I really want the RV-5, though. The modulated reverb on it is peerless and wonderful, if you are into that sort of thing. I am looking to get a used one when I have the cash to spare.

I mainly liked the RV-5 for the modulated reverb. Most of the other settings were ok, but didn't stand out to me vs. other reverbs I've used. I wish the M9 had a reverb similar to the modulated setting on the RV-5.
I've had the RV600, too and if I had to choose between it and the RV-5, I'd go with the RV600 as I like it better overall. Really liked the cave setting, in particular.

TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb - Pretty versatile and has the church setting which is worth the cost of the pedal alone. I've got a EHX Holier Grail too but it's too big for my board and is a bit unreliable, the Hall setting is the best I've heard though. Never tried a RV-5 but read good things. Same goes for the Verbzilla also.

I use modulate effect on my rv5 all the time. Its one of the best effects combinated with the delay. Love that sound. So yes i would say its a great idea but i only tryed the boss rv5.Josh wrote:thinking about ordering one of these tomorrow. good idea?lorez wrote:Behringer reverb machine is hard to beat for the price

Digitech Hardwire is pretty good. I also liked the Marshall Reflector I had for a while. Reverb isn't really my thing though, i'd rather get a delay pedal and set up for reverby type sounds when I want them.weeping_moon wrote:Reverb pedals of any kind.gypsyseven wrote:What do you mean by "any other pedals that are so great"?
Reverb pedals or any kind of pedals?

I think that's what I like about it. It reminds me of amp reverb. Just one dial, but it offers me all the control I need. Plus, when the HG Nano dial is turned to 10 on the spring setting, it's pure mayhem.mastermorya wrote:I sold my Holy Grail Nano and bought the Behringer Reverb Machine, which is a copy of the L6 Verbzilla. I like the Reflector a lot, too. Honestly, I think reverb is kind of hard to hear at stage volumes anyway at low settings, so I just use a bit of it to soften the attack and drench it when I need to.johnnyseven wrote:Digitech Hardwire is pretty good.
