Latest in this exclusive series of shortscale threads in which seasoned pros help rank amateurs like me achieve the sounds of the stars;

I was thinking the Microsynth through the French Toast on a low-ish distortion setting? Maybe a bit of short delay to fatten it up?

I think just the Microsynth could probably do it; just a case of keeping the subby dry bass sound mixed in with the lo-fi squarewave fuzz to give that fat-arse sound.

Here is a clean regular bass guitar track, then the same track duplicated, high&low passed with fuzz and then a bitcrusher and shit the second half. The clean bass track retains solid low end information, the fuzz tracks are high passed to keep the lows from cluttering shit up and mixed to taste.

that first note has a string ringing out so disregard that skankness it doin'
