"Speak to Me" - trippy rock original

[[[ LINK REMOVED }}}

from the new album.
"The Time Is Magic"

recorded and mixed in sonar
lots of feedback electric guitar, some real spacey alternative music loops done in Nuendo, lots of harmonies, double tracked lead vox, slippery bass lines, and a head-trip lead guitar solo, inspired by jeff beck (no picks!)
heheh

solo performed on a short scale strat (USACG build) with Bill Lawrence Pickups.

ALL GUITARS THRU A MESA MARK IIB.
feedback guitar tracks all captured with a 57 using a Demeter Isolation cabinet at volume.
All rhythms and solo guitar done thru a Palmer PDI-09, no mics.

hope you enjoy it.

Sounds brilliant, love the sitar style leads. Certainly hits the psych pop vibe

thanks for breaking the ice........

psych pop

you know.. it's such a 'head-space' kind of thing.

I like this a lot! To be honest, I think the only reason you don't get many responses when you post your songs is because you have so many threads. This is good stuff, if you tried to keep it all contained in one thread people might be more likely to listen and comment!

freddy
glad you like it!
so many threads.....?
hm.
well, i've posted things in the past, that literally no one even commented on.
so i figure, it's not interesting, and i move on.
i have so much material to share, so many solid recordings and finished songs, that it would be really hard to try to 'contain' them in one thread.
much easier, to give them their own titles, and folks can choose which ones they want to comment on.

thanks man, glad you dig this one.
it's a bit different than the others.
i've got so many different kinds of songs, acoustic, heavy, light, instrumentals, sing-songs, so i experiment quite a bit.
this one seems to resonate with folks that dig the more psychedlic stuff....

this is really solid. Great production and playing. Sounds really big and open, I was bobbing my head to the beat by the end of it. The vocals sound a bit like ozzy only on and happy LSD trip...
