I have it now in my apt in Brooklyn, and I have easily dialed in Beatles and U2 toanz. This thing sounds great and LOUD, thankfully I have an Hotplate attenuater to keep it sane and to not annoy the neighbors.

Its fairly straightforward, however my AC30 is the 6 input with the brilliant channel, so I don't know how to dial it on the other versions(CC2and C2). I just played a Les Paul throught the brilliant channel High Input, on a very healthy volume level with plenty of treble dialed in for the Paperback Writer sound. My U2 sound(Early U2) was again the brilliant channel at a healthy volume kicked a bit with a Tubescreamer going into a Behringer vintage delay(DM-2 clone) with a Strat on the neck pickup. Adjust the tone knobs till your there.

Does the amp sport an average channel for recent U2?

Just an update, Using AC30 with my Jaguar is meshing well in practices with the other guitarist who uses a twin reverb and a Jazzmaster. It sounds VERY good and the amplified guitar sounds are sonically distinct enough that we don't muddy each other out.

It starts to break up slightly somewhere around mid volume and it gets dirtier the louder you go, but at that point it's already LOUD!
