Is this a stand-alone instrument or a guitar pedal? Are you using a PIC microcontroller for the sequencing, and if so, which one?

I'm pretty sure it's a geeeetar pedal.

HE JUST LOVES TO LAFFFFF!

It's less funny considering Dwarfcraft have put out standalone oscillator 'instrument' pedals, though.

Re: Pitch Grinder prototype video

Its a sequenced pitch shifter. You'll have eight tuning pots, one for each available step, and plans are to have a tap tempo, and a manual speed knob. PLanning to have a range of -1 to +2 octaves. Should be really big and expensive!

and lots of LEDs :D

It's an FX pedal, you betcha!
That sound is a squarewave "A" run into the pitchgrinder and then just echo.

Tim- Yes, there are some great big chips in there, but for this one I mostly just make ideas and demands and a digital-savvy engineer makes it function, so I don't know the part numbers yet.

$$$ is pretty much unknown at this point. I'll tell this much: The prototype is costing me $500, but that's an all-inclusive fee.

NO.

I guess it can also be converted to a synth pretty easily. Having a meeting with the primary engineer tomorrow to discuss this...
