The body is from Warmoth, as is the pickguard. GFS lipstick, Ibanez Inf4 bucker, That neck is a Jagmaster and that bridge is a Wilkinson but I have a Squier Musicmaster bridge I think I am going to use with an Allparts Jaguar neck for a better fit.

Yes, the body is poplar. My Mustang has a poplar body and I love the way it sounds so I am going with it again.

Two coats of amber tint nitro and 6 coats of clear so far.....

use a jag neck and don't drill the holes for the bridge until you've set it up with a jag neck. Jagmaster and Jaguar necks are NOT interchangeable.

Yep, they dropped a fret on the JAgmaster necks and threw us a curve ball. I took the pic with the Jagmaster neck on and the tele bridge measured out to proper place. I also laid it out with the allparts jag neck and a musicmaster bridge and they line up perfect. I am going to go with that combo and maybe make a short scale 72 deluxe tele clone with the jagmaster neck and tele bridge.

The Telemaster I am building has a Poplar body, I am going to paint the shit out of that thing - grain and color is a bit weird for me. In terms of the wood, how does it feel - light weight, strong enough, is the tone nice unplugged?

It is sort of a mid weight wood, heavier that Pawlonia and basswood. Nice tone unplugged, resonant.

Sweet, thanks. I am considering staining mine... but from the photos the colors look weird, might not take stain evenly. How was the color on yours prior to clear coating?

The colors looked totally weird, odd grain of different colors. The more coats the better it looks. I didn't fine sand it much after it came from Warmoth. Everywhere that had any flaws was under the pickguard or in a place I am going to bang it sometime soon. I had already spend cash on the nitro in a can from stew mac so I wasn;t going to change plans at that point. Now I really like the way it looks. I only did one coat of tint, I wish it was thicker. I have lightened it up in a few spots finish sanding. Nothing bad tho.

I think so too. I disassembled the bridge and suddenly realized how very similar it and the Bronco bass bridge is. Same bottom plate drilled diff.
