Boss HM-3 Hyper Metal pedal

My friend let me "borrow"(have) this pedal that some former bassist left at his space. I really like it it, it sounds like a slightly gainier HM-2 with more high end available, very far removed from the MT-2 which I don't like at all. Has anyone else ever played one of these?

I have a FZ2 Hyper Fuzz and it's awesome, I always fancied trying the Hyper Metal but heard/read that it wasn't that great and that the HM2 was better.

Love the HM-2, been meaning to try and track and HM-3 down at some point. Is the high control still treble+mids in one?

The hyper fuzz is a beast, it's like A Place to Bury Strangers in a box. If only you could switch between mode 1 and 2 on the fly!

I have a HM-2 , lots of fun. Sounds like a RAT/Muff hybrid to me.
