Kahler alternative

I love the 'screw on to flat top' idea.
Is there anyone that sells clone/copies of this tremolo?

Yeah, Dave Gilmour's famous black strat had a huge chunk taken out for a Kahler when he swapped the neck/bridge for more shreddy ones, now that it's restored you can tell by the plug exactly how much was taken out to make it fit (the second pic is a custom shop replica, not his real one, but his has the plug and simply had electrical tape beneath the strat trem before that):

Check out the SuperVee line. Eric Johnson uses them so they must intrude on your sound even less than the screw that holds the bottom of fuzzfaces on, or those evil tone-sucking battery brands.

They're pretty pricey, but they make many different ones, depending on how much you want to keep the look or how locked-up you want to get it; the double locking ones have a no-route locking nut attachment too, but the bladerunner just looks like a regular modern strat trem pretty much.

They also make a really cool tremsetter-style product that requires only one new screwhole in the guitar.

Plenty of Kahler knockoffs on eBay plus there is one model which is totally flat mount, but I doubt you find a copy of that one on eBay, you'll have to buy a real Kahler.

Just ordered the Mag-Lock. Had been considering adding springs on one of my guitars to improve tremolo stability, but will try this instead. Will post after I've had it installed awhile and had a chance to play with it.

I have a Kahler on my first electric, an Electra MPC Les Paul copy. I like that you don't have to route all the way through the body with them vs the strat style and it's variations.

Thanks for the post!
