Thanks mate, I really like it. Properly impressed with how amp like and full it sounds. It's brutally loud too, can't wait to fuck with it with the band.

I don't paint our pedals...
But, when I paint other things I usually jus use 1 nicely thick coat of primer...

The battery does cut out when the power jack is inserted, aye, so I guess the switch works ok..
And it did work before, yeah. It's not like I did anything beyond cutting and pulling my way through all that stupid hot glue gunk and switched the jacks around.
I'll see if the craft shop in town do the same type of power jack so I've got a spare if need be:
I'll test continuity between every connection also when I take pix.
Ok, so I tested everything, it looked good. I remember reading in the PDF manual that the pedal doesn't have a set polarity? I.e, it'll work either way round. NO idea how this is possible but then again, I'm hardly an electronics boffin.
So.. I dug out a cheap adaptor, set it to "normal Boss pedal" negative tip, nothing. Switched the polarity.. AND IT WORKS! Why the hell did it work before in my pedalboard setup?

I took a prototype SaltBooster and the OrangePeel to practise tonight and both were a massive hit. The boost smacks dirt out of even my clean as a whistle 6100 Clean channel and makes the TT and the Crunchy 6100 sound monstrously huge.
The Orange Peel is a revelation, and I don't use that word lightly. I never used to believe that amp overdrive could be matched, but this pedal gives me a nice darker Orangey overdrive to complement the 6100's JCM800 style upper-mid bitey crunch. It sounds really, really great, and has the bassy thump most pedals lack I find. Really happy with it. Going to refinish it soon including stenciling and that.

Well it sounds similar to the TT, but different in some ways, like I said it has this full range thunk which is very pleasant.
I'm happy with the kit overall, once I had managed to get the JFETs from OLC and source the missing capacitor and resistor from work it basically worked first time. I don't like the Cliff jacks and I want to ground the circuit to the case, so I'm going to switch at least the output one out for a switchcraft style rather than have to try to solder to the case. Anyway, I'll do all that after painting it up.

Awesome. It's the lack of bass that puts me off most dirt pedals, but it did sound really fat in the demos you did.
Glad you liked it. Pretty good base for building up another pedalboard

I usually ground the pot to the case, sort of... Run a lead from pin 1 of the gain or master vol. to the housing of the pot, which I think also touches the case of the pedal (but I have no clue, I'm jus lettin' you know how I do).
