never tried it on a guitar... but it works well on a handful of bike frames I've spayed...
or you could fine wet & dry and add loads of thin clear coats, or culmination of the lot. You probably know all this seeing as you've got to the stage you've got...
personally I don't like the perfect thick coating on say my CIJ jag... or JS...
