Excellent in all ways, except for the horrifying black spot on the sun! I didn't realize the sun looked so different over there.
Great stuff as always.

Hahahha, it just makes my Flip camera freak out for some reason.
Thanks for the kindness, guys. I'm really looking forward to doing a proper RECORDING video again, hopefully that won't be too far off.

That song sounds awesome! Love the harmonies on all the stuff we've heard so far, in fact.

Great pop tune, more fun than a kick in the teeth!
Loved that analog plastic key clicking in addition to the squeezing action, I almost expected the squeeeek of the ball to follow.

Cool.
I've found that I take a more considered approach to picking out vocal melodies now than I used to. I used to sing whatever popped in to my head, but I realised it was very good and relied upon rhythm (nothing wrong with that, it just wasn't what I wanted). Now I pick notes out of the chords usually, and make it sound good with passing notes. I'm far happier with it.
I think that's sort of the trick to decent melodies and catchy pop.
I used to do it the other way round sometimes, where I'd write a melody, then find chords that work around it. This sometimes works, and can be fun because you can end up with tonalities and moods that you hadn't anticipated at all. The best stuff I've written has all been chords first though.
Something else that works is doing it chords first, picking out a good melody out of the chord notes, then rewriting the chords. You end up with something that is different enough sounding to be it's own section (an interlude or outro or something) but with enough similarity that the song still has continuity.
I'm fairly sure I'd something resembling a point when I started this post. Hmmm...

YAY cello action! ENVY.
Really adds another dimension to the mix, great to see one's love sprinkling the flavor.

Cheers guys!
As mentioned in the Diary thread, I'm putting a mix of Winds-O-Fate up for a friend's podcast, so I figured I'd share it here too; lemme know whatcha thunk of the sonds!
