I just went over it. I used these numbers which will change things a little so tell me if they're wildly out.

I might have made some mistakes, and it seems higher than my initial calcuations. I'll check it over tomorrow when I'm more awake.

Shipping from Dunlop - $10
US > UK shipping - $10
UK customs cost (likely to get away with this but I'm not sure based on $200 at 15%) - $30 - I've actually left this one out of the table below. With it at $30 it's about £1.70 extra per order
US individual shipping per order - $2
UK individual shipping per order $2
Aus/NZ indidviual shipping per order - $4 (add $2 to the US order price below to check the rates)

There are three different artwork options that change the price slightly. Prices listed are per 50 plectrums before any shipping costs to demonstrate the difference.
- Single sided image $19.00
- Double sided, images both sides $21.92
- Double sided, one side image one side text (will have character limits) $20.15

so for our needs we need double sided double image, as our text is likely to be a font of our choosing and sent as an image?

I think so. It means we can fit 'shortscale.org' on one line and more text if we want it.

The costs in the table are all double sided image.

Prices are right where you judged them to be, we should officially get a pole running to select the image and trudge forward. :D

that individual shipping cost is stupid.

send all the US picks to me at once and then i will take care of sending them out to people. it will cost me 50 cents to mail a tiny bag of 50 picks. that way we only get hit for customs once

Rob, we have it covered. If the shipping cost is less then hooray.

Ends is handling this.

That's why I gave the numbers I used. If $1 is enough we can go with each US order being $1 less. I don't want Ends to be out of pocket for being genrous enough to sort out the bulk of it after the order.

For that reason each order is going to have to have the paypal fees covered by the buyer. Although if you have your paypal account setup to allow it you can send it as a gift and pay no fees (UK people will pay a little on the exchange rate which is why i said $1.6 rather than $1.65 in the conversion above).

The numbers I put in are for 1,200 picks. If we have more it will drop a bit because the setup charges will be spread more. I'll test the numbers at 1,400 and 1,600 to see how much difference it makes.

Tempted by yellow 0.73? There are currently no orders past the initial 200 for orange, but 100 for yellow.

Noted. Up to 75 blue as an extra order.

If we get the blues and yellows up to 200 each the order will be for 1600 picks and

200 Purple
400 Blue
400 Green
400 Yellow
200 Orange

Chisa are you tempted to go for the blues instead of the purples? That's the only outstanding order (other than hotrod's oranges) and we could make up these numbers easier. Don't go for a gauge you don't like just because it's convenient for the order. We haven't sorted the artwork yet so we're not in a rush to get the numbers to line up.

I made a mistake in my calculations (missed out the individual shipping charges) before so here are some new numbers with US shipping at $1 a time. Mike your total is for 200 picks but you haven't been allocated the extra 25 yet.

Just to be clear this price is everything you will pay excluding any paypal fees. For UK people the dollar price is the amount you send to ends and the £ price an estimate based on a paypal exchange rate of $1.6 = £1. If anyone doesn't have a paypal account we can work around that but paypal is simplest.

1,200 picks
Image

1,600 picks (assuming mellowlogic, chisa and hotrod come in and we make up the rest of the numbers from people already ordering)

I'm actually a bit disappointed. I realise they'd be printing this lot up for us but I was thinking it should work out cheaper.

You can buy 72 of these pics with the standard turtle on them for $19.90 shipped in the US which is a little under $0.28 per pick. We're looking at ordering 1,600 and before any other cost it's $0.34 per pick.

It's still not a terrible price and in the UK the cheapest I saw after a quick search was £21.49 for 72 and they only did orange and yellow. Which is the same price as 75 if we order 1,600.

1,600. That's a lot of plectrums.
