Shortscale plectrums - artwork thread

I'd make Do An Riff bigger, might as well get the most out of the space.

i'm working on some versions of gav's artwork with different fonts, there might be something else that works better (or not).

you choose, shortscale.

I was going to make a thread with a poll but no doubt some people not buying the picks will vote and fuck those clowns. Who cares what they like.

I don't want to make the opinions of Mike, Ends, myself and a couple of others dictate the result but it looks like we're going with Shortscale

.org on one side and 'do an riff' on the other. If anyone would rather it be something different, speak up and don't feel like you'll be pissing on bonfires.

Assuming there are no objections, all that's left to decide is the font. I think the two new ones in Gavin's last post are both better but I'd be interested in seeing some more. Bring 'em on, stewart.

well, if there was a font that was preferred or whatever i could always pass them over to the bearded one and he can do the layouts. or maybe the existing ones are fine, who knows?

ShortScale, the smilie and "Do An Riffs" is clearly the way to go.

I've not been keeping track really, but I do really like the "do an riff" thing and that smiley on the other side.

It takes two minutes to change the font and resize it, so just have a look though the thread and tell me if there's any fonts you want to try it out with. I can send Stew the .psd file and he can have a gander through his fonts and see if he has anything worth using.

The thing is that the standard fonts look cheesy and cheap, imo, and 'neat' fonts look out of place next to the happy face, that's why I'm using choppy fonts or brush styles.

The grey lips thing is from a paint fill gone awry. I will make sure all the pixels are in place for the finished copy.

here's the ones i was thinking of trying- if any of these catch yer eyes i can link the fonts to gavin and he can drop them into his template and see what they look like. or i can send him the links for all of them.

Since Gavin is really the only one to have taken the design thing on... I sort of feel we should just have Gavin pick the font and move on with the process. Just my two bits.

Nah fuck that. Gavin's design is the most suitable and has been chosen as the one to do. But we're each going to be buying at least 25 of these, 50 or 75 in most cases. We want something we agree on as much as possible. I think we're making decent progress with the font choice even if replies are slow coming.

I'll do the pricing later on and need to contact everybody (either by reply in the thread or PM) to confirm they're down with the price for their order, paying by paypal and paying by a deadline we set. So we have a couple of days at least to pick a font.

being honest i dislike any of the handwritten kinda fonts, but if the majority is in favour of them then i'm happy with whatever.

but gav's not far off with the choices, they fit ok.

I quite like this font, just needs to be bigger.
