Best way to acheive 'Punk' sondz?

Carl, the guys at JS wanted to know how my last project sounds so i thought i'd rip few a couple of Bad Brains riffs and post it in here too.
My amp eq settings are all midway and im just using a 'Metal' distortion setting on the Korg AX1000g. The pup is a Duncan Custom SH-5.

Though the Torns peaker sounds a lot like it's trying to emulate Torn Speaker style distortion, which isn't a thing like the sort of punk sound this guy wants.

Too much distortion, noisy, messy, fast ... in my opinion. Sorry if you don't like it. Or am I thinking of Heavy Metal. No I don't think so ... actually I am I think. Sorry, I'm an idiot.
