Haze, you clean the guy out! How many did you buy? I don't get paid until tomorrow so I couldn't buy any last night. Can I get some from you then? I was hoping to buy one set of 6 knobs. I hate being broke at the wrong time. That other link still has some so I have a backup if necessary.

I'll get them to you for cheaper too, don't worry about it man. I'll put up a thread when i get them all in but i'll make sure you get a set.
I need 7 for my bassman, and maybe a few extra for guitars and just to have. The rest i'll distribute through shortscale

It was smart move for sure. It never hurts to buy in bulk for scarce items like that. Those will look hot on the Bassman. Were these knobs only used on the Bronco or were they on amps originally?

in all honesty im not sure. all of the bronco amps i've seen has had black skirted knobs, and all of the bronco guitars i've seen have had numbered bronco knobs... Someone will chime in i'm sure. All I know is, they're METAL, and look sex

robroe always posts those fender keyboards from the 60's that had them on it, and i'm pretty sure those were their first appearance, but i could be way off.

I found some more Aluminum skirted knobs. Not all Fender but they still look cool.

What did you end up doing for the pickup and pots on your Musicmaster? Did you go vintage or new? Are the vintage MusicMaster pickups just a Mustang neck pickup or do they have different specs? I see the vintage MM pups on eBay but they are $125. Not sure I want to spend that much on one pup unless it would make a difference.

that pickguard i've been posting pics of is straight out of a 78 Musicmaster. attach the bridge ground wire and screw it down. So everythings original, pots, jack, pickup. Its all in this thread somewhere. I don't think i've measured the output yet...
IIRC the Mustang, Musicmaster, Duo Sonic, Bronco etc pickups were the same.

I reread the thread to see if I missed it. Originally. you had a Bronco pickup with 5.73K output. Did you stick with the Bronco pup or switch it out for the a MM pup? Or was it a MM pup just in a Bronco pickguard?

The first one they sent me was a loaded bronco pickguard. i sent it back for a loaded musicmaster pickguard.
the musicmaster pickup reads 5.58k
same year, same pickup [flat pole pieces], roughly the same output. I'd say they were putting the same pickups in these things.

Where did you purchase the loaded pickguard from and what did it cost?
