If there's anything the people currently running Fender know the answer to, it has absolutely nothing to do with marketing guitars.

Why does everyone want to put a toronado bridge on everything? Just looks like an ugly hardtail bridge to me. Its pretty hard to find fault in the strat hardtail design, both functionally and aesthetically.

Kind of a bummer that they slapped such hot humbuckers in there.. Where is the jangle going to come from!?

People are only saying that because the pickguard would fit a toro bridge better than the strat bridge. If they had shaped the pickguard to fit around the hardtail strat bridge better I bet people wouldn't be complaining as much.

right, because those bridges are fucking super ugly and a non-fender style design. which is whack.

IF IT AIN'T FENDER, IT'S CRAP!

This.

I really hate the bridges on the squier jazzmasters and jaguars. It's a stupid design and it doesn't make sense for them to have put that on there when they probably could have just saved money putting the same bridges they have on the duo-sonics on there.

Dude I'm not in the slightest bit keen to slap a Toro bridge on anything as I don't like them given a choice but in terms of the this stang it's the one that makes the most aesthetic sense. That's the only reason. I'd be equally happy with a scratch plate that actually fits the strat bridge like wot this has:

Two main criticisms at the moment (price aside)

1. Too many fucking screws going on with the Mustang
2. The mismatched 51/72 pickups look like dog shit

I quite liked it on the Sunburst, but that's all. Certainly not on the Green.

The crap thing is this might make the squiers jump up in price. Or maybe go down? One can only hope.

But really. $800 for one of these? No. Just no.

These real photos of the Mustang look really good. LPB and CAR are nice color choices. The neck and contours of the LPB look nice. I would love to see them side by side with a 65 RI Mustang. I agree with others that the square bridge sticks out kinda odd and I would drop either a Toronado or Squier Vista Musicmaster bridge in if it matches the pickguard and ferrule holes. I also kinda wish it had the single coil in the neck.

I can't wait until I can play one in a store.

I stacked the photos, one aligned at the nut and the other aligned at the bridge. Necks don't line up exactly when you line up in either photo which is odd. Definite cut some off the body to make it more Jaguar-like. The Pawn neck appears a little longer as does the Control plate.
