Reading about these necks was ok at first, but now it's just self promotion for your own purposes and attention seeking.
At some point, down the line, someone will buy one of these totally unawares and shell out good hard-earned thinking they've got the real deal.
Disgusting IMO.

Marking a Squier neck up as a Fender is fine as long as when you sell it you are clear that it is a Squier that you have modified to look like a Fender, let the buyer decide if they think it is worth whatever you are asking for it. However all evidence in thread seems to me to point to the fact that you are trying to disguise a Squier as a Fender, changing the tremolo to a Fender, adding a tort pickguard instead of the gold anodised, changing the decal and adding a Custom Shop decal to make it look like this is a 'one-off' or 'unique' Jazzmaster. If you intend to own up about the origins of this guitar when you sell it, that's fine - it looks like a nice guitar, but I wouldn't spend Fender money on it (certainly not Custom Shop money). But to sell this as a Fender Custom Shop guitar would be dishonest, plain and simple, and you should be ashamed of yourself if that is what you intend to do.

I don´t get it, changing the decal....i think it´s even cooler to have a killer guitar and it don´t say Fender,Gibson or whatever on the headstock...

For example, i would LOVE to have a Tokai Jaguar or Jazzmaster...

ok

all i can say is i wanted that guitar in white, and am not crazy about body work, as far as painting goes, so i bought the guitar for the body, gutted it, and got rid of what i didnt want, the neck is just something on the other hand i enjoy doing and like as a hobby, and yes, i mention that i might sell it, didnt advertise that its for sale on this thread, although im not going to lie and say im keeping it, and don't and the when talking about my work, i do have things i have created or worked on for people that are not my friends in the sense that i didnt know them until "word of mouth" from people that are friends and became friends with them after some not, and therefore are clients i guess, what do you call them, i d k , sorry to make it sound like a buisness im running, yeah i bought things i consider toys as far as real life is conserned, i dont pay my bills with the money i have made doing this, i am a "temporarily on leave" carpenter/contractor with my dads biusness and get money from a work injury , i cant lift things over 100 pounds i would say so i put my talent to a different use,

the guitar on the other hand thats all cut up, i searched the bay and other sites and a body finished like this off white jazzmaster can run as high as the whole Jmascis guitar, so i figured ill buy the guitar keep the body and fix it up to my like-ing, not mask it from squier to fender, thats ridiculus to even half to explain a guitar modd, why i put this on a guitar instead of keeping the original parts, i never heard of that, i never jumped onto someone elses thread and questioned their modd, i remember briefly viewing a different thread about how some dude turned his strat mini or something into a mustang, or something, i didnt rip him apart and interegate him on why the hell he did what he did to his guitar,

i think thats bullshit and going to far, any decal is a decal, especially fender , jazzmaster or jaguar, which i have seen tons of those, so dont even go there, maybe i was the first to expose a custom decal, idk, obviously someone has used them before if the company i got it from had them, maybe not and it was just on the menu , beets me, ill tell you this, making a guitar looking the way i want, and getting rid of the crap i dont like, doesnt pay the mortgage,

its not that serious, dont even waist you time, because these arguments feel like thats what it is for you and me, yeah say what you want, maybe you proved points maybe not to me, maybe i wont post anymore and make you guys happy, if thats what will resolve this , thats fine, i actually put real efforts into this what you call shit, and stop things alot of times in the middle of something that shouldnt be stopped, thinking of this site, and people asking for tips, just to catch a shot to ulpload, that get bashed for anyway, sorry, i thought i would help in some way, i wanted to give back what i learned, aparently people forget what is on this site, and pick and choose who they want to fuck with, goodnight

I agree with you dude. Label consciousness is for shallow minded people. I can't understand why people are willing to pay for crap or an inferior product because of the label or name that it wears. Sad very sad.
