Haha. His phrasing is ridiculous, bird song is possibly one of the hardest things to copy because it is random but melodic, repetitive then breaks up with metallic trills, the phrases also slur and volume swell. How he uses these techniques on guitar is incredible.
I know this is a Superstrat thread but it all points back to the Strat. George has the tools, well, maybe not a gold bracelet with a cross on it that rattles at the speed of light..

To be fair Malmsteen's is scalloped as all hell!
I've had a go with the Strat, tried a bit of tapping and that Gilbert stuff. It works okay but takes a lot of effort. I think a flatter radius (so lower action) and hot pickups will really unlock this stuff.
I don't give a fuck if someone doesn't like Van Halen the band, but no one can deny that everything about Eddie was punk as fuck DIY brilliance, especially Frankenstein.
Yeah this was already on my list. Definitely gonna have a punt if I don't get a result til then. These Concepts apparently have quite a narrow thin neck which sounds good for small hands.

That Sangria RG550 is about to end ina few hours, or is it out of budget already?
RG570 - the 550 but back routed so no pickguard needed:
Thanks for all the suggestions. Yeah the R550 might end over my budget. Already watching that 570. Looks promising!
The 520 looks well serious in a funny way. Now watching.
Ahh, the Ergodyne. Someone is selling this "IBANEZ ERD470 ERGODYNE EMG's Kahler £125" on my local classifieds. Are they MIJ and worth getting? The bodies are plastic aren't they?

God dammit George, after reading this thread and then watching the videos I've been sat around playing various licks which reminded myself quite how out of practice I really am. Gave up and spent the last hour mainly playing pinch harmonics. I blame you.

lol yeah I'm possessed at the moment.
Just heard from this guy that he might be up for couriering this
What do we all think? Apparently the Concept series of the 90s era is better quality than the Performer range, maybe not quite as up there as the Professional.

Have always liked the dot markers over on the edge like that, looks smarter I think.

Didn't bid as he said he'd "consider" courier. Might follow it up with an email but idk
Getting desperate now. Had a rag through some sweep picking to give it a go today. Would be do much easier with lower action and flat radius. I can't really do it on a Strat
