Also: hoping that 'new Super-Sonic four-bolt neck plate' means 'New to Super-Sonics standard 4 bolt neck plate with standard pocket'.
new supersonic 4 bolt neck plate means the one they built for it 15 years ago. with the strap button on it and all fucked up in shape.
Yeah, there's not peg on the upper horn so I think it's a given that it's the same neck plate.

My only gripe on these new ones, the nut width is fucking 42mm???? That's bigger than Fender standard B width, the fuck?

I'm withholding total judgement until it's in my hands, but the skinny jaguar neck was a big part of what made it so desirable. We shall see how she plays.

The neck will probably feel similar to a CP Jaguar, as they both sport the same 42mm width at the nut and 9.5" radius.

Standard Fender B is 1 5/8" which is 1.62" or 41mm. The old SS was 1 9/16" or 40mm.

42mm is 1 11/16" which is distinct enough that you can actually order it as a size from certain neck-making places. It's wide, wider than the original.

I like the white on the orange... at least here. Seems the lighting and quality of photo has a fair effect on aesthetic.

I love that. Gold hardware and all.

The new super sonic looks a ton better in orange and grey than in red.

this is all wrong.

the super sonic neck was never any more slim than a jaguar or a mustang neck which are 42mm at the nut. all the fretboards are 42mm at the nut. they were all the same, except the headstock was upside down. I would have noticed it right away if it was 2mm smaller. i've owned them all

My A neck 64 mustang is 1 1/2 at the neck or (1 8/16). there's no way in hell that my supersonic was anywhere near 1 9/16 if my A neck mustang is 1 8/16

Seriously? You think I don't also own them all at this very fucking moment and can compare them?

HINT: I DO. The SS is not 43mm. The Squier Supersonic had a 1 9/16" nut width.
