HAHA HOLY FUCK, I recognised that voice instantly- this guy was in NWOBHM cheesefactories Grim Reaper, and also did the silly tutorial VHS that was very formative in my early days!

Wasn't arsed about any of the NAMM gear until I saw this:
Hallmark are going to reissue the Rosac Nu-Fuzz.
Am excite.
UPDATE: $250. Fuck that shit, that's more than the originals change hands for.

What is so special about it? Some silly unobtanium NPN Germaniums?

Don't understand that sort of science jive; I know they're being made by the original designer fella, same bloke as made the Fuzzrite, and they come with a certificate of authenticity. Bit of TGP-bait, I reckon.

Like Freekish Blues but just legitimately dodgy rather than shady as fuck?

Eh? No. Just that the price is pushed up because it's the original designer from the sixties, and you get a certificate of authenticity. Nowt underhand.

i think they are silicon Mike, as Benecol said the price is down to the original designer being involved blah blah (wonder if he actually MAKES the pedals though?!).
the circuit itself is kind of shrouded in mystery as the original circuit was encapsulated so no schematics exist, similar to a fuzzrite but with a tone control.
the cases probably cost a lot more than the parts in the circuit.
i must admit i am tempted, at least to get a schematic drawn up hehe!

Ah fair enoUGH>
This mojo "old fuzzes are great" stuff just doesn't wash with me. I've build stuff out of leftover parts, bits of string and "bad" transistors that sounds Baller. It's about your mental frame of mind while building the pedals, and teh quality of your beard.
