I am happy to report that it is an original 1971.

That's a gorgeous tele! Is it particularly heavy?

Not really since Fender chambered the body prior to assembly.

Love Bullets. My very first guitar was the MIK Squier Tele-style Bullet.

having owned and sold off/broken several telecasters over the past decade, i've been getting the itch for one again, as i haven't had one for a couple years now..
I keep getting drawn to the Classic Series 60's Tele, in either olympic white, or candy apple red.
7.25" radius neck really sells me on it..
OR
the Chris Shiflett Tele, though with a 12" radius, and that bridge I'm really not sure.. the bridge can easily be swapped out for one of those half plate tele bridges.. the neck, well... it'd really be dependent on how it feels, and if it's a thin neck like my ES-339..
arctic white, and all that sexy pearl.. plus the "CS" pickups actaully sound pretty good (from what I remember..)

yeah. they'd be going as well.. prob for white jag knobs..
if I was to buy a shiflett..
it's on a list, behind a couple other things I need to sort (ie: tele is 4th on my list of next BIG purchases)
edit:
found this video of Shiflett talking about his Tele Deluxe

i wish i played guitar more, to justify getting another tele. le sigh.
lol wut you do to the Tele?

Those bullets are awesome.
Anyway, I found the Tele for me.
Seriously couldn't be happier for what I paid ($400 used), can't believe I haven't owned one of these before. All that talk of gut cuts and it was the oldest / most well known design that won out
