Ignoring the P-90's isn't a hardtail Mustang actually a Duo-Sonic? Not really sure why the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang would bring about that specific guitar. Most other anniversary guitars have been more thought out.

Also the new Talman guitars are quite nice but are going to be premium priced, correct?

Mustang's closest relative is the Duo-Sonic II.

The original Duo-Sonic was a bit different from the Mustang in several ways. Most notably, it used a 3 way toggle rather than switches (so no phase options).

You probably already know this; I'm just bored.

Absolutely. And this Shortboard Mustang has a 3 way toggle as well. It is essentially a Duo-Sonic with P-90's not a Mustang at all.
