I like the possibilities. And the engineering and design of it attracts me too
I have a 15 watt combo, but I think it's all hardwired. Saying that, I realise I have access to friends' combo amps who I can hijack and rock the fuck out of. I'll just whack the TT in the sexy gig bag and go walking about, blowing minds one by one, without waking up the neighbours. The music I play has loads of different sections and styles. I need at the very least four sounds to play it - Bright Clean, Light Crunch, Crunch and Heavy Crunch add to that a solo boost and a warm clean tone and that's the lot.,bob wrote:I'm not so much freaked out by it, as I know I would end up just using one channel on it anyway.
Dude, that's a 10 minute fix.dots wrote:only thing i wish it had would be a speaker out.
em i think is a 300W, its in its own cab and i got it for nout.Mike wrote:i know you were, but 4 ohm speakers are well rare.
wtf? 600W? Why?
If it's not good enough for you I will try my hardest to get it off your hands. It might be hard, but I'm sure we can pull through. I'd take the bullet for you Hurb, don't worry man.Hurb wrote:em i think is a 300W, its in its own cab and i got it for nout.Mike wrote:i know you were, but 4 ohm speakers are well rare.

very much looking forward to the new tt
well I'm sure i will love the tt but should it not suit me, and you havent already got one, you can have it for the price i bought it for if you want.Malik wrote:If it's not good enough for you I will try my hardest to get it off your hands. Ha, I was kidding but that's a very gentlemanly offer Hurb, thank you!Hurb wrote:well I'm sure i will love the tt but should it not suit me, and you havent already got one, you can have it for the price i bought it for if you want.Malik wrote:If it's not good enough for you I will try my hardest to get it off your hands. I coulda sworn you'd put a new speaker in yout Hotrod?Hurb wrote:em i think is a 300W, its in its own cab and i got it for nout.Mike wrote:i know you were, but 4 ohm speakers are well rare.

is there an easy way to do this so that the speaker is engaged when something isn't plugged into the new jack and then goes silent when something is?Doog wrote:Dude, that's a 10 minute fix.dots wrote:only thing i wish it had would be a speaker out.
Cut the amp's speaker cable in half, drill hole for speaker jack socket in casing. Solder amp-end of the cable to the jack socket. Solder speaker end of the cable to a mono 1/4" jack.
Plug in the internal speaker when you want to use that, plug up an ext. speaker lead and cab when the mood takes you (obviously checking impedance and wattage suitability).
sweet. i've plugged it into a cab before. . . the speaker has standard speaker wiring on one end, and the other is a 1/4" that plugs in underneath the amp. i am able to plug a speaker cable in there that way, but i'm always concerned with fumbling around and fucking something up.Doog wrote:Yeah, you can get switching sockets that'll switch the output to what you're plugging in. I'll ask my dad the proper name for em, he put one in a little combo for me years ago.
