that is such a nice board thom, you've always got that knack of making it look so neat and tidy.
every time i think i've got my board as i like it, something changes and i have to start again. it's like no matter how hard i try, i can't ditch my bd-2 even though the splatty decay thing is really annoying sometimes.

i agree, when i put my strat through the rockerverb, it sounded amazing. same with mike's baja tele. it felt like i didn't need anything else just guitar and amp = perfect.

it is one of the nicest telecasters i've played. maple neck teles just seem so right. yet a strat, to me, has to be rosewood.

Thanks Zaphod..... I think I get it, but they are not the same things as OD pedals?Zaphod wrote:Well they... boost. Make noisey go louder, usually used for driving tube amps harder and such.
They also usually affect the tone a wee bit, my LPB-1 adds some low end and takes some highs, which means it's not too great with bridge pickups.
Or are they just a bit more/less subtle..... the same, or not at all?

Some men are more salty than others.... I have to deal with that!Baaan012 wrote:It's because you're not salty, and never will benomorebridge wrote:I'll be perfectly honest I'll look like a dick but I'll do it anyway
I have never quite understood what boost pedals do!.... I mean I do but I still don't

They don't add drive, they just add volume.nomorebridge wrote:Thanks Zaphod..... I think I get it, but they are not the same things as OD pedals?Zaphod wrote:Well they... boost. Make noisey go louder, usually used for driving tube amps harder and such.

If you take a very clean amp and stomp on a booster pedal at full, your guitar will just be louder, clean, but louder

it's also good for increasing the gain of a overdriven amp into further saturation.
